I just returned to the computer to check out the grocery ads. First, I said to myself, "maybe I should buy some flowers and try my hand at shooting them." Then I said, "Before I go to the store's ad, I think I'll check out what's new at the Hog." And look what I found! You, again, have set the bar very high. You compliment them greatly even when they turn their little backs on you. I especially like the silky look of the main vein on the petals of the lily (?). And the furriness on the greenery of the first one. And how each individual petal stands out so well. And the intensity of the colors. And the clean and sharp lines. And ... oh heck, everything!
Adding to my shopping list:
one pole
to help me vault over the bar I'm sure you flat-footed!

Sherry, you silly goose, but you're certainly a sweet one, and I thank you so much. Nothing to shooting these. Just turn them around, crank up your aperture from f/22-32, stand back and shoot away. Easy peasy, but from the looks of your work, you already have this stuff mastered. :-D By the way, we're find some pretty ones at Fresh Market.

Donna, you are the one too kind in your compliments. Thanks for the tips on shooting. I probably would not have thought to stop down the aperture that much. Is this using your 100mm macro?
Well -- off to the market to buy some fresh flowers. Oh yeah, and some food, too. But I'm sure dinner will burn while I'm busy snapping.
