Can you tell me if America Camera is a reputable dealer?
Unfortunately, when the name is so unfamiliar that you have to ask, it's probably best to avoid it. Legitimate dealers all sell at about the same price, so if a price is considerably lower, something is fishy.
Okay, so can anyone tell me where I can find a new Canon T3i? I took earlier advice and found a knowledgeable person with which to discuss cameras. He is a Canon person and he suggested a T3i as a good novice camera.
I was going to upgrade to the t5i at one point, but I am now saving for a 7DII. Recently I read a couple of articles that talked about the t3i as a better starter camera than the t4i or t5i for various ease of use reasons. I can't put my electronic hands on them right now, but they are out there somewhere.
The sites already mentioned for purchase are the ones I wouold go with in addition to Canon's refurbished site where one might show up. Their refurbs are almost as good as new.

From the area code, it seems to be in Indiana. Definitely gray market. You can get a Nikon D610 for under $1,100, which seems low even for gray market.

Check out the Canon USA online store. You may be able to find a refurbished unit which carries the same warranty as new. No runaround and great savings.
