It's been 10 years since I bought my Kodak DX6490 and I loved it.
For the last 10 years I have never used the manual settings. It's been point and shoot. At times I will force the flash.
What do you suggest I start looking at?
This is what I would like in my next camera.
$400 Max.
Fits in my pocket.
Optical zoom at least 15x.
Image stabilization.
Lithium Ion rechargeable battery.
Takes ok pictures in low light.
10+ megapixel.
Viewfinder.
On/off button no where near the shutter button.
3" LCD.
Wi-Fi.
Thank you.

I agree with the need for a viewfinder. The problem is that few P&S's have them. The closest to what you want that I can think of is the Panasonic ZS40. It has a 24-720 f/3.3-6.4 lens and an electronic viewfinder (EVF). There is a replacement coming out so it has come down in price. B&H has it for $347.99.
It has a small sensor and a fairly slow lens so it won't be very good in low light, but if you want a faster lens in a compact camera, you'll get a shorter zoom. The Nikon P7800 has a 28-200 f/2-4 lens, a larger 1/1.7 inch sensor, and an EVF. The Panasonic LF-1 has a 28-200 f/2-5.9 lens, a 1/1.7 inch sensor, and an EVF. The Canon G16 has a 28-140 f/1.8-2.8 lens, a 1/1.7 inch sensor, and an optical viewfinder. The P7800 runs $550 new but is available refurbished or used for under $400.
Both Panasonics will fit in a shirt or pants pocket. The P7800 and G16 will fit in a jacket pocket or a belt case.
Personally id go with an xz-2 refurb for 239, and find a vf-4 viewfinder refurb for 99 at some point down the road. It's a stellar camera.
Pickup a refurbed Canon SX-50. Won't quite fit in your pocket, but does have a viewfinder and everything else you mentioned and has been a mainstay in that market til it was replaced recently by the SX-60. Lots of good deals out there and from the factory.
the one that perports to do what you need it to do.
Consider the Sony DSC-H400 (not the HX400). B&H has it for $318.00. Junior version of the HX400 has a different lens, sensor, & processor. It's not pocket sized but, has a 63X optical zoom. Very sharp. I used 1 for a week before deciding I really wanted the HX400.

This past Christmas my wife and I got our parents a Canon SX50 for her parents and for my Mom. So far I can't tell you what their opinion of the cameras are but before they where wrapped I checked out both cameras and to be honest I wouldn't mind having one myself. They have great image quality and they'd make a nice camera to travel with as they're nice and light. We bought them from Canon as refurbished and got a really good deal on them.
