Both look fantastic to me. I particularly like the Blue Jay. That is probably the best Blue Jay picture I have seen.

"Blue Jay": This image has a nice snap to it without being overly "crackley". The very vertical x horizontal composition seems to rob it of a little dynamic quality. I probably would have tried rotating it a little, but which direction and how much so as to keep the Jay's position and gaze the most natural would be the tricky part. Nice detail, nice saturation, super bird position. Well seen.
