Firstly I would like point out that this is a very disturbing story so please do not click on the link if you think it will upset you.

My question is how can your "god" allow this to happen, yes she had mental issues ( some say all religious people do ) but how can your all powerful god, who she prayed to, ignore her plight?

Some express their irrationality through religion.

First off, I think you missed the part where you wrote, Religious Fanatic. Just because a person is into a religion does not mean that they can not become a victim of a mental health issue. I have met many people in prison who told me that, "God told me to k**l these people". Now do you really think God told them to k**l someone OR is it more likely in the realm of common sense that while they heard, in their mind, someone telling them to k**l that it most likely was not from God?

The concept of, "Free Will" has been explained many times and yet no one who doesn't believe in God seems to want to accept that concept. Everyone and apparently you as well want God to make everything right in the world, no death, no sickness, all bills are paid, food on every table, everyone has a great job which they love, nobody dies and all is well throughout the planet. Let me remind you that is not God's plan but the Liberal Democratic plan.

Ever since Adam and Eve people, even the best of Christians, have suffered murder, plague, tornadoes, typhoons, and bill collectors. Maybe if Adam and Eve had not wanted to be as powerful as God this might have occurred but they did and we are living as humans here on earth.

Now you nor most people on this forum will believe me but I have been personally spoken to by God. I won't waste your time nor mine going into what it was about but I did hear a voice and was asked to accomplish a task for Him. I did accomplish the task and was rewarded more than I could ever explain to you or others. I KNOW that God exists.

Now my question to you is this: Why do you and other non believers insist on throwing up God in the face of Christians every time something doesn't go right with the world? I can assure you after losing both my son and daughter that I am still a Christian and love God. I believe Jesus is my savior and is the Son of God. You will do nothing to sway me in that belief. But why can't you simply allow Christians to believe as we might? If we are wrong we will die and find no heaven, no everlasting life. If it is we who are right then we will find all that we prayed for in heaven and it will be those who did not believe that will last eternity in hell.

One more question. Right now there is an Islamic Muslim jihad going on throughout the world. Why is it you and other non believers don't question them either in person or on forums such as this one? I have never seen any question as to why Mohammed allows his people to k**l, kidnap, rape and so on.

Did you actually hear his voice speaking to you or is this just another metaphorical "spoke to by god"?

Why say "if we are wrong we will die and find no heaven", I thought you said you know god exists so are you now doubting yourself?

If nothing religious was ever written on this forum again I would feel no loss or happiness but as long as we have Rac etc that will never happen.

I haven't seen one thread started here by a Muslim saying if we don't worship their god we will all go to hell or wh**ever the alternative is, unlike some Christians on here.

It's a sort of retaliation against the believers so don't think to much into it I really am not that bothered ;)

Yes I did hear a voice in my mind. There was no thundering voice as one would think Moses heard. As I said, you can believe or not. It is me who it matters to not anyone else.

I said, "if we are wrong we will die and find no heaven", for you and others who don't believe in God, not for me. I have no doubt that I will find eternal life.

You really aren't that bothered yet it was you who brought this up. Hmmm. Someone is bothered and it sure isn't me. It was you who brought up the whole post to begin with in an attempt to put down Christians and God. It sure was not me. Look again at the OP and I think the name will be familiar to you.

Have a wonderful day sir. I am done with this thread.

God gave us free will, to make the choice of Good or Evil

Things like this happen with the non religious also.

From the article it appears that this couple had serious problems and should have never had children in the first place.

There's not a big difference between the Muslim extremists and the christian extremists. Same club, same crazy. Both cults should be extinguished.

Why do you see the only alternative to God as you worship him to be no God at all? What if there is a God and it's not the one you worship or you aren't approaching him correctly and you die and go to this other God's "hell"? It's not what I believe, but why isn't it as possible as the God of the bible or no God at all?

I'm wondering, if authorities had intervened and nothing bad had happened, how many would have been up in arms shouting "religious persecution"? Maybe none. I hope none. But, I wonder.

More Muslims believe more, making them more dangerous. When Christians believe as strongly they frequently become dangerous. Still this case is probably a lot more about mental illness than religion.

Dennis, seems your post has been edited after I read it, hmm
So this voice you heard was in your mind and not a real audible voice as I suspected. We all know what is said about people who hear voices in their head ;)

You need to check that what you write is what you really mean. In your original post you did not add "for you and others who don't believe in God, not for me." Come on give me a chance, it's hard enough to understand your beliefs but to have to interpret your words is too much.

There we go with the old free will quote again lol Easy to just blame someone else isn't it and constantly rolled out?

Yes, this case and I don't know that many Muslims, total-1. Christians express themselves with the most h**eful words and I guess extremist Muslims express themselves with the most h**eful deeds. Neither one has any reason to live.

I've always wondered why you never hear of someone doing something good and saying "the voices told me to" why do the voices always tell people to do heinous things?

You have to ask yourself if there are any voices at all, good or bad. The imagination is a powerful thing and you can imagine all kinds of things and even believe them to be real.

Sit in a dark quiet room all alone and see what you imagine :)

I think the words show that they don't believe as much. The rhetoric is to convince themselves and others that they are right.

Still, you never hear of someone helping an old lady across the street because "the voices told me to".
