Tonight we had great weather for shooting the crescent moon with Jupiter and Venus. It was much more impressive in real life than these photos. The first shot is the moon with Jupiter and Venus. The second is the moon and Jupiter.

I've been watching the view the last few nights. Got out my Canon 400mm, 5.6 prime lens. Put it on a tripod and got a fair shot just of the moon. Cropped it some, but it really doesn't compare to the earlier posting of moon pictures by one UHH member using a telescope. I think I can get a better picture of a full moon just before sunrise.
