Interesting camera, capable of super images. I have not used the camera extensively, yet, but this one seems to be super when adding 1/3 to 2/3 of a stop.

This Gx7 will likely become my back-up system

BACK DISPLAY - however, I cannot get rid of the back display -how is this done, is there a special dial ? CAN ANYONE ASSIST?

It's a beautiful image.
But I don't understand your question, Outline.
Do you want the camera to do something for you? Turn off LCD screen? Change display from preview of taken image back to regular screen? That's got to be in the download manual. Available here in Pdf format: ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/camera/dmcgx7/dmc-gx7_en_om.pdf
Do you mean get rid of the black background?
Or get rid of the light shining through the petals?
Or get rid of the white fringing on the petals?

All this, apart from the camera changes, can be done in post processing, for which you need photo editing software.

Tip: Please click the 'store original' box so we can see a much larger version of your beautiful work in all its glory.

so sorry to confuse everyone...

My error

What I mean is the "playback" mode after I take the shot - it seems like I always get a different display, rather than the shot with some of the metadata and a histogram. I just need to know how to alter the back of the screen AFTER capturing a shot

Thanks!

If I understand your question, it is the Display button.
