Here are a couple photo's of the Alvord Desert Valley Floor.
It is so flat. Great Photo area. It has hot springs at the edge of the desert. Myself taking the photo and my photo buddy stayed 1 week in this area. Old mines and great fishing in nereby lakes.

mountain in background is Steens Mtn. If you like both mountains and deserts, this is a fabulous area to be in.
