Driftwood Beach on Jekyl Island Ga.
Photos taken at sunset and sunrise. After taking photos and returning to the hotel to transfer photos for post processing I found EVERY image was under exposed !! Disappointment. In the morning I happen to check camera settings and compensation was set at -2.3 ... who did that?
Lessons: 1) confirm general camera settings before a shoot, 2) take a practice shot and view to confirm general settings.
Access to the Island
Sunset on Driftwood Beach

If 2 and 3 are under exposed - don't change anything - they are great shots

Great photos - I agree with Jim, don't change a thing.
Not sure why your exp comp would change unless you have a exp comp button that gets bumped ???
Re: Compensation button (Nikon 5100) ... Yes, there is one that I must have 'bumped' it. Thanks for reviews.

Good ones, Bob. That same freakin' gremlin makes adjustments to my gear when I'm not looking.
Bob...Better than the time that I took my ftb to a Michigan game to take photos of a h.s. teammate who was the kickoff man for one of Bo's teams. I thought I had some great pics 'til I opened the camera and discovered I hadn't put any film in the camera. 45 yard line 34th row, I had the perfect place to get photos, too.

I hope this was a film camera, opening the back of a digital camera is a one time event. LOL BTW no film in the film camera is a mistake all us film uses have made, It is one of the most comon OOPs.
