Well, I will keep posting photos, hope others will join me. The underwater world is an amazing place, it is no longer just for the adventurous, but also for the average person. Today anyone can dive even those with disabilities. I know I was an instructor for the Handicapped Scuba Association. Here are three more photos.

Gosh, I love looking at the creatures in the sea! Have two underwater camers (sealifes). My older one is going...have never used them with a strobe as my husband and I just snorkle. My husband seems to think the strobes are too bulky, however, I love the way you seem to get the colors to 'burst' more. Any suggestions on a different camera or strobes?

Br3kes,
Actually the sealife cameras are not bad, but strobes are needed depending on how deep you go. Problem even in relatively clear water is that the high end of the spectrum are lost the deeper you go. Show this to your husband, strobes do a great job of making the colors pop.

I will have to tell my friend about this. He and his wife go diving about 3 times a year and they always have photos of their dives.

ok, George, I have some more Bonaire shots I'm pretty proud of. When I first started with underwater cameras they were the disposables. That got me hooked. I just wish I lived close enough to go out everyday, but then I'd get no work done. I can't remember the names of them right now (under the weather, brain foggier than usual). George maybe you can help.

Susan,
Nice work, you got them right on the ones you named, I can give the Scientific Names and most of the common names. Very nice, looking forward to seeing more examples of your work.

Thanks George,
I had heard the last fish called by another name but I can't remember it. I'll let you know when I do. I'm going to put some of my Hawaii photos up next, though Bonaire was so clear when I was there that other than the Big Island I never caught the other islands nearly as clear. Thanks for the nice comments. I'm beginning to think I'm better underwater than on top. I did some photos of Las Vegas, Valley of fire and Sierra Nevadas (husband did the latter). I think his beat mine to pieces but he said it was the content. I'll have them up soon.

Oh, and when we put something up on the board here, why doesn't it show up in the main notification every day as a subject along with "welcome"....? Curious?

I worked at Ft. Jackson hospital in Respiratory Therapy from around 1986-1988. I had to do PFT's on all the guys from up north that couldn't take the humidity (or didn't want to) during basic training. I'm sure it was a drastic change. It still gets to me in July/August especially if there's a lot of rain. I was in Augusta, Ga. at Ft. Gordon before that.

I have absolutely no idea why but maybe it is because this one is run by members.
