I was born in Brooklyn and still miss Farragut pool, egg creams, stickball, real bagels and Lords bakery.
Brought back a lot of memories. I had cousins in Sheapshead Bay and Brighton Beach. My friends and i would take the trains down from the Bronx , and meet them at Coney Island , we were about 11-12 years old, no mommy made " playdates" in those days. We took off in the morning, and were home by 6 for supper. The parachute jump was .75 cents, BIG BUCKS! .
My wife is from Flatbush, she will have a great time viewing all the pics. Thank you, you brought back youthful memories.

I was in the USAF in 1954-55 in NJ/NY and I can barely remember some of those "good" times. They were really good. BAGLES and LOX - - -YUM lol
I was born in the Bronx, grew up in Queens. I loved Coney Island, Nathans, but hated the Dodgers. Mickey and Willy were awesome!!! The Duke of Flatbush, well he was my brother's guy. (What does he know?) Anyway, thanks for posting that link. I also loved those subway photos too.
Fantastic...Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
Very cool ---I love the song---I'm a long way from there!!
