I shoot a APS-S (7D) and I think that the EF 16-35mm 1:4L would be good for FF and APS-S sensors. Also I don't like EF-S lenses.

P.S. I am looking for one my self.

I'm saving my pennies for the EF 16-35......it's received really good reviews.

Some of these lenses are discontinued and available only used. Even those still in production, most are cheaper used such as the 17-40 that used can be 2/3rd the cost of a new copy.

Try looking on KEH.com. I've seen several there. Plus, there is going to be one on the HOG. Good Luck

Or for APS-C, the Canon EFs 10-22. I get spetacular architectural and landscape images with it. IQ on par with L glass. Used prices around $400-500.

Actually I posted with the intent of finding one here. Maybe that will happen yet.

This listing is about right for a Mark II. Make an offer and see what happens: http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-274736-1.html
(Although, the cap is wrong and where's the hood?)

What is the cost difference between the two?
