She is Lacy Jane and she has a house mate who is Dixie Belle. I was trying to focus on 1 eye @ f1.8 at 1/30 sec....

So, let me see Dixie Belle. At first glance I thought Lacy Jane was a Catahoula Hound. She is a Dalmatian, right?

Yes she is.....She is a liver spotted Dal which is rare but there are also lemon spotted Dals which are even more rare

Nice. Love the focus on the eyes.
I'd try to get the nose in focus too. (I am partial towards doggie noses.) You can see how narrow the DOF is because the lower jaw is in focus. A little higher f-stop (smaller aperture) would do it.
