I can't imagine what it would be like to live near such people. It sounds like you moved away, which is good. The person looked like a female to me, but either way, I wouldn't want to live nearby.

Being from NJ you may be somewhat familiar with NY geography. I was born & raised in Queens (then CT & FL & 1 & 1/2 yrs in school in OK.) When I move back to NY & remarried, I lived in Middle Village, Queens. There was someone like that who lived across the street. Her sister, lived there too with their mother. The sister was a petit politician but was a little like her, too. Every so often there'd be an outburst by one or both of the two sisters.
Now I live in a little seaside town across the inlet from Jones Beach. We have another family like that on the other side of the street. They drink too much and there have been a few screaming drunken fist fights with one relative or another. (Women again).
My neighbor next door on the North isn't noisy like that, well when they have company & BBQs in the summer they're often loud & obnoxious. I could put up with that if he weren't such a nasty neighbor. His yard, from my kitchen, looks like Sanford & son.
Anyway, "they" live everywhere you do. Can't escape. Especially bad when you own a house & can't just break a lease & leave.

GEEZ. I know approximately the geography where you live. Sorry about your nasty neighbors. That could really ruin a family BBQ, unless the fist fights were entertaining.

The fist fights from across the street are fun, though.
