Bald Eagle in flight.

Cloudy skies today with some fog and a streak of sunshine now and then. The Eagle was about 150-200 feet in distance and was shot at 600mm.

The Hawks Ridge Observatory in Duluth has a bunch of hawk pictures and a map of one of their banded Golden's flight pattern over the past year on their web site. Just google hawks ridge.

Another one of your beautiful eagle shots (and I'm stuck with sparrows!). Guess I'll have to sit back and enjoy yours

Thank you, Vicki. I love to shoot all the small birds like the sparrows, nuthatches, etc. The eagles are starting to leave now, although this was a very good day for Bald Eagles, so I will settle down soon with the smaller birds which have special meaning to me. I will always enjoy your sparrow photos.
