Morning Run With Rocky

Unfortunately,during Rocky's morning run in the field I only had my cellphone camera.Rocky ran out about 500-600 yards and I could not find him.The only way I was able to locate him was by beeping his red beeper on his collar.When I found him he was pointing a scaled quail.for about 5 minutes.Usually,These birds are very skittish and either run off of take flight when you approach them.This particular quail was having a fiesta on a cactus and remained still while I took his picture.

That dog looks like a great pointer. I am available most anytime if you need someone to come over to harvest those cute quail.

He sure loves finding and pointing quail and pheasant and he remarkably good at it.

Yep! Even on the rare day when the birds aren't cooperating, It's fun just watching the dogs at work.

Beautiful set. Long ago I had a friend who owned a pointer; what an experience hunting over a well trained dog.
