If you want to outsource it, there are lots of sites on the internet. I used www.digmypics.com. I have used them in the past and they produce quality images. For 35mm negs, expect about 80 cents a piece (per frame).

I got a nice scanner at Kmart from Kodak that does a good job on pics up to about 5x7 plus an adapter for 35mm negs and it does a great job.

that would nice, if I was able to get down to Kmart, but as the nearest one is only 14miles away and I would have to ride the bus down to there, which can only happen after the 3rd of march, it's not something I can do .

Scanning is an art where it is better to scan at higher resolution, then scale to print size. I scan 35mm slides and black and white film at least to 100MB per frame, usually higher. It is not the fastest of processes.

Insist on having a Dmax on the scanner be at least 4.0.

The problem with that is the virtual drum scanner I use cost seven times more than my car. Once my car is fully restored, it will only be twice as expensive.

I have some film neg's that I have long forgotten when or where I had the prints made, I have them set up in folders so I keep recorders of them, just no prints. I could mail them to you if that sounds good. my normal email is : starlord05@netzero.net
I can get email 24 hours a day.

Office Depot has the Epson v5000 on sale this week for $150. I've had the v5000 for over a year and am happy with it. It scan negatives quickly, easily, and nicely!
