Yesterday I took this shot of this little Verdin doing the splits on a bougainvillea bush. They are so tiny and so fast. Then I was practicing focus on a Mockingbird,Lesser Goldfinch and Hummingbird. It was later in the afternoon so the light was pretty good. I used my Tamron 150-600, hand held.

Very nice but I guess that this lens takes a lot of practice to get good with it and you sure are getting there....Rich

It takes some practice, I am working at strengthening my arms as it is quite heavy but it is getting better as I practice. I have a monopod/tripod as well but haven't used them much yet. I want to be able to take a picture hand held as much as I can then I will work with the monopod/tripod. I love the lens.

Thank you. I really like the lens, it is heavy but I knew it was before I ordered it. Working on my upper body strength. My New Years Resolution is to take it out at least three times a week and practice, practice, practice. Being retired now I sure do have the time.

Nice. Yes, it is a big heavy monster. Keeping it steady
could be a challenge.
