had thought about buying buying an adapter for the fd lens but held off. now ran into an ole boy wanting to sell his. can see why he wants to sell it he has a collection of those high dollar white lenses. any ideas
my lens now consist of 18-55 55-250 70-300 macro dg. the 70-300 is hard to shoot with no os an it's narrow field is a light hog, but very good Challenger like play'n with it

Guess it is late. What is a fd lens? If you mean a TC, I would check to see if it fits your lenses.

Not sure what you are asking? Are you looking for an FD-EOS adapter? Does the Ole Boy have a Canon FD adapter for sale? Are his lenes FD or are yours?

There are only a few FD lenses that would make sense to try and use on EOS. Like the L lenses. And using an optical adapter is counterproductive ! For a price, FD lenses can be mechanically adapted to EOS without the optical element - but it is not cheap. ( and yes they can be made to focus at infinity ).

I have just what you are looking for. Its a 600mm cannon with a cheap adapter. The first 1200.00 takes it home. I find I don't use it any more after I got a 400mm 2.8 lens. It got me started in close up wildlife photo's and it is clean and works great. If you get the real adapter cannon made for the pro's it will get you exelant results. You can save $12000.00 off the new 600mm if you don't mind manual. The onlything not in graet shape on it is there is a small crack in the lens hood and it doesn't efect the images at all.

are you saying the lens itself can be mechanically adapted to the eos system ( 60d ). if so, where can i have this done?
thanks in advance

Just buy a FD to EF adapter at adorama for 35.00 and all
your FD old lenses will work on your EF DSLR canon. Some won't work.

The adapter you want is an FD to EF adapter: http://www.amazon.com/Optic-Canon-Adapter-Correction-Glass/dp/B00009R7ZR There are several with varying quality and price-range.
