I seem to be having trouble finding this topic posted last week. I want to thank everyone for helping me solve the issue of my Canon EOS 70D not being accepted in PSE12 raw files. I took all of your advise into consideration and the problem was solved by getting the Adobe ACR Plug-in 8.5. I also uploaded DPP that came with my camera, so I now have 2 programs to use.
I appreciate each and every one of you who responded with your suggestions!
Thanks again!

Are you saying that this 8.5 will allow me to open RAQ fro my 70DMkII
I have a 70D but haven't checked to see if it's the MKII model. (It was a Christmas gift) I will check it out tonight and get back to you. If it is, then yes. If not, I won't be able to answer that. I checked on PSE 12 to make sure that it would support my 70D and it did, but I needed to add the 8.5 plug-in to get it to work, and it does now.
I checked out my Canon 70D and it does say Mark II on it
on the Camera or the box that it came in. There is a (W) after the 70D on the box.
My advice is to upgrade to ACR 8.5 and give it a try.
I goofed... I Have the SEVEN D... NOT THE SEVENTY
sorry. From what I am able to find they still haven't added my camera to the Adobe RAW list. I don't care much for the program that Canon put out for the camera... I still have to go to PSE to finish processing.... It's a fantastic camera though and I love it. Thanks
Don

There is no Mk II model of the 70D, and the W simply means that the camera came equipped for wireless functions.
Your ACR problem was common when Canon introduced a new processor, the Digic5. It has cropped up again with the Digic6 and will no doubt happen again when the Digic7 comes out. In each version the RAW format is different. It just takes a bit for Adobe and some of the other software manufacturers to catch up.
No Problem.
It can be confusing to the point that I wanted the 7D but sent Santa my wish list with a 70D on it by mistake!
I got the 70D and love it!
Thank you! That's good to know.
I'm getting educated! :D
