I think I nailed it. With Tamron 150-600
I have been working on manual focus and hand holding my big lens. It has been a challenge but I think on this one I nailed it. What are your thoughts?
From the download I would say that you nailed it too!

Yes, you nailed it!!! Great, crisp picture. Tripod or hand held? Was it the full 600mm? I've had mine for about 3 months and still trying to refine my technique. I'm doing fine with still birds but having problems with BIFs.
Good work!
Yep, clear beautiful red eye, feather fring with reddish contrasting feathers and those oh so pokey thorns!
WELL DONE!

Yep that is pretty darn right on.....if it was a gun, he'd be dead for sure!
At a full 600MM hand held .....you are just showing off now !

Thank you. I was pretty happy when I was taking the pictures off of the camera tonight and saw it.

Thank you. Yes, hand held. I bought a tripod, monopod but want to work on my hand holding the lens as well. I am just working on sitting birds right now and will eventually try more BIF as I progress. Building up the strength in my arms and learning to hold my breath. I appreciate the comment.
You did nail it Myrna, but you spent a year of your life doing it. Think IBIS stabilized camera body Myrna. No more worrying about handheld.

A monopod is your best friend with a heavy camera and lens.. My Canon 5Dmk3 with a 100/400 lens on weighs a ton but I rest it on the monopod till it is the time for action and then I can swivel it all any way I want,up,down, left, right and I have the BIF photos to back up the use of a monopod.. Why manual focus ??? surely the camera can work out the focus by its self and you can spend the time on aperture, speed and composition...
