My first attempt shooting lava. Lucked out with a lower layer of clouds to reflect the glow but a clear sky to show the stars. Very little processing.
Like a surreal sunset--very cool. Would be interested to hear the technical details.

I've been wanting to get over to that side of the island to capture these shots. I've been vacationing there for 18 years and still haven't seen everything I want to on The Big Island.
