Excellent as always. Do you ever go in Photoshop and remove a stick that is not where you would have liked it to be? I posted bird photos yesterday & one of them I removed a stick & one a couple of Pine Needles that were not pleasing. So far nobody has noticed or said they noticed...

Thank you, Beth. I don't use Photoshop except for the Photoshop Elements version. My primary add-on program is Perfect Effects. No, I almost never remove any twigs, branches, or pine needles from the photo. That's why I take many shots at different angles to avoid that situation. However, I see nothing wrong with making a minor correction as long as it doesn't ruin the integrity of the photo.

I agree, sometimes I feel like maybe it is cheating! I also try & get the photo correct the first time, but sometimes it just does not work!

It looks to me that at 97 yards; if you had moved 3 and one half yards to the left the issue would have been cleared up or one could assume that it just was not noticed at the time the shutter was depressed.
It certainly is a different situation than sitting on a chair shooting through a window at a group of songbirds around a feeder, isn't it?
Keep trying!
Sonny

I agree with you on not always being able to get that uncluttered shot. I have many potential good photos that were ruined with pine needles or tree branches. It's not cheating to remove a very small disfigurement in the photo to make it look better. Some photographers go to extreme with the Photoshop program and making it look perfect. They completely change the background or the sky or ?
You have to do what you think is best.

Thank you, sassman. I shot through the tree branches to get this photo. I couldn't move more than one foot either way to get a better shot. It was just one of those situations where I take this shot or not.

Agree with you a 100%.Don't believe in removing power lines adding clouds etc to me that is phoney.
