Posting photos with Photoshop Elements

For some unknown reason I cannot post photos from Elements. I'm on a Mac Desktop. Can someone run me through this process? Feels really dumb, but when I go to choose, I end up choosing the whole application. There's something I'm missing.

What version of elements and how old is your mac?

You can't directly post a photo online with elements 11. You have to export the file to a folder then browse for the folder and find the picture and send it.

I export to a file named "upload" for all files I'm sending to the internet.

The way I do it is to process my photo in editor and When I am done I go to file and click; the drop down menu appears I click save; the next drop down appears and asks how you want it saved and the way i am set up it goes into a folder that is called edited in pictures. I pull from there by going to pictures; edited ; open the folder and then find the picture that I saved and move it from there.
Light catchers way works to. Just different names for the folder the pictures are in.
