I have already posted that I was thrilled to finally get my Nikon D7100 w/ a Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 lens.
So, I would love to know if you treated yourself to a new camera or lens that you have been wanting. And, why did you want it?

Santa sent a Brown truck to my place with both a Sigma 18-300 and a Sigma 150-500 lens. Both were a move up for the wildlife, landscapes and general walking around photography that I do. I only had to sell 3 other lenses to make it happen! That should hold me until the D7100 replacement comes out, at which time I'll get a new or refurbed D7100 or decide the replacement has some "I can't live without it feature" and I'll have another GAS attack...

Nothing that big…. I got a geared head for my macro set-up. Reason? When combined with a focusing rail, it makes fine adjustments much easier.

Santa made an early trip with the Sigma 150-600 Sport lens so he made another visit on Christmas with a new Manfrotto 681b monmopod.

Santa was good to me this year. Nikon D7100 (plus two books on how to use it), Nikkor 35 mm f/1.8 prime lens, and a LowePro flipside 500 backpack to haul everything around. I wanted the new camera because I have been using the D3100 for many years now and found I wanted many of the features the D7100 has. The prime lens was to give me a lens good in low light. The backpack to fit all my new and old goodies.
