I work in an animal emergency clinic at night, my second job. We do get some interesting animals come in, one of our Dr's vet's animals at the Bear Mt. Zoo upstate N.Y. This barn own was brought in with an injury, I just had to get some pics.

I stand corrected, we also had a barn owl and an injured red tail hawk that night and all I was able to get a pic of was this one. I don't always take my camera so I was thrilled I had it for this.
I love owls and go out at night to hear them hoping to catch one closeup. So far only the screechies get within sight as the great horned stay at a distance and call.
Love owls. Rehabbed them for Audobon Society. Had one that appeared in the movie "The Black Stallion". Had a great horned that tore my lip off.
Yikes that's freaky looking...!
Nice clear shots though....
