I feel blessed to have received a K-50 (this is a step up for me from a Canon SX40 bridge) as a Christmas present and now want to hear from the Pentaxians out there as to recommendations for an additional lens or two as well as any filters for the lenses. I currently have the 18-55 mm kit lens and the 50-200 mm lens. The kind of photos I'll be taking will be just general in subject but I would like to know of a faster primary lens for general shots. What is your opinion of the DA 50mm 1.8? It is relatively inexpensive but does it take decent quality shots?
What about filters, like a UV or Circular or others? What are your suggestions for just general photography? My budget would be about $500.00 max. Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Good resource. Watch craigslist, eBay, etc. as well. Every once in a while, you'll see a 50mm 1.4 for a bargain if the seller doesn't know what they have :)

Remember, just about any K mount lens will work on your body, even the older manual focus lenses.
