Views from this trail are truly spectacular! About a 3 mile hike around , and a new pic every inch of the way......A shame its only snow free about 2 months out of the year....Snapped this shot last year, I believe, sometime in September....

That is my 3rd most favorite spot on earth. The little lake is crystal clear and everything is incredibly beautiful, pristine and Mt. Rainier in the background is, well, majestic.

I was going to include that I grew up in Federal Way and I drove over Chinook Pass many times and without fail always stopped at the parking area to the right and back some from where this was shot. I walked down to the lake and just laid there taking in the stunning scenery.

Not too loud Mike! We'll have everyone in the country hiking our "secret" trail! Just kidding, as I mentioned in an earlier post, this part of the world has enough photo opps to keep us shutterbugs busy for the rest of time.....Most of my late summer is spent in this same general area. Sheep lake is another great hike!
