Dashcam

I've been using a dashcam for a year or so, hoping I'll never need it to prove I was not at fault in an accident. It turns on and off and records automatically, but sometimes I look over and see that it isn't running. I can see myself being distracted by the non-working camera and getting into an accident while trying to get it running. :D

Do any of you dashcam people notice that the camera doesn't turn on sometimes?

From the web page you sent....

-Sensor Enabled Recording Occurs as Soon as Any Sudden Braking, Impact, Rapid Acceleration or Sharp Cornering Occurs

BUT, my question is.... what if you back into someone?

I don't use "sensor enabled," just the continuous recording. I think backing into someone would be enough of an impact to activate it, but would you want to have that as evidence of your mistake? :D

Would it have a limit on continuous recording - like 20 minutes at a shot?

I certainly would not volunteer the info that I had recorded it if I backed into someone ;)

Does it mount on the back side of the mirror or replace the entire mirror?

Did you happen to check out some of the reviews on Amazon? Many people say they were sold a fake model much cheaper than what they ordered. May want to check into that!

I researched for a dashcam and found Dieselboss.com has a unit designed for truckers. It seems the truckers have a serious problem of people short braking them or just pulling over right in front.
This dashcam is about $80.00 but can record up to 8 hrs and is HD. Plus has it's own playback screen and can add a second camera.
To see goto; dieselboss.com
