Need to look this up...
But wonder wht UHH users can add?
AF-S Nikon lens have internal motor;
Some Nikon Body have AF motor and can use either AF-S or AF Lens

So when using AF-S lens on body (say D7100) with AF motor in body;
Do both motors work in harmony or does lens motor become default AF motor?

Just a curiosity,

An AF-S lens does not have a focus screw/lug, so only the lens motor will focus an AF-S lens.

The D7100 internal focus motor relies on a screw that engages the focus lug in the lens of an AF lens to turn the focus ring on the lens.

AF-D type lens showing focus screw/lug...

AF-S lens - no screw for focusing
AF-S lens - no screw for focusing...

If the lens has a motor built in, that is what is used.
