Cheap camera challenge - pro shoots fashion with .3MP kiddie camera

I love these cheapo camera challenges where pro photographers have to take the most piece of junk gear possible and produce some kind of result. This always makes me feel that the old saw about it being "more about the photographer than the camera" has a lot of truth in it. Next time I'm feeling sorry about having "only" a D5200 with some decent glass, I'll think back on this. Hope you enjoy what she accomplished with .3MP and only a 6 hour layover in Honk Kong.

I like DigitalRevTV.

Well, the camera took pictures. As for the quality, I'm not so sure.

Jerry, we cannot expect much from a 0.3 megapixels camera but the point here is that it is not the camera but the photographer.
I am not entirely satisfied with some of her posings but that is me.
Considering her limitations I think she did a remarkable job.

With these results, I may need to either down grade my Nikon, or enhance my skills!

I like her pictures better than some pictures from expensive cameras with zillion megapixels and over processed in HDR or Photoshop.

Interesting but feel this is a step too far, cellphones get better and should be looked on as the entry level

Kids cameras are for kids, all shots are soft and lack detail which is just what you would expect

Very interesting. She accomplished with a cheap kid's camera what someone else might strive for with PP. The softness enhances the photos and gives them a dreamy look.

You're absolutely correct, but don't blame her. She accepted the challenge she was given. And did remarkably well. Maybe the authors need to set a little higher minimum for the Snoopy camera they send pros out with.
