Thanks Erv. That's how I found them. Seems like a big outfit, but you never know.

I've never heard of them. Is there a reason you don't want to send it to the manufacturer?

No reason not to send it to the manufacturer, just looked on the net for camera repair, and this company came up with good pricing.

I used them many years ago for my film cameras. Since then, the founder's daughter has grown the business considerably. They do the repairs for many retailers and consumers and are factory-trained. While I have not used them recently, I would have no reservation about using them. My first choice would still be the manufacturer, ceteris paribus.

I used them to repair a Tamron 28-300 lens last October. Very happy with their attention to my case, their work, and their price.

I have a couple Kodak "P" series cameras ... and 850 and 712 ... as walkarounds and quickies, and the 712 needs some work on the popup flash. Kodak referred me to United camera, and the price was better than I expected. I haven't yet sent the camera in, but expect to. I am also hoping they do a good job.

No but...

this UHH user is a camera repairman. He was recommended by Nikonian72 and I was satisfied with the results.
