Hi Out there,
Have the 510 but considering buying the FZ200. Is it worth upgrading to the Panasonic? The 510 is my carry everywhere camera. Your thoughts

I love my FZ200. Snapsort evidently doesn't think much about using raw vs jpg. They also don't think you'll need an external flash. I'll grant Nikon makes cameras that are better than the FZ200, but the P520 isn't one of them, IMO. Look at both. Look where the buttons are. Think about battery life or using an external mike. Then buy what you feel is better. If the prices were the same, which would you buy? Over the years $100 isn't much to worry about.

Maybe you are comparing your Coolpix with the wrong Lumix? I have the FZ 70 as my carry around.

I have a p510 and really like it. I just got my sony a3000 for a second camera as an upgrade. My wife is starting to use the nikon. The nikon takes really nice shots have a few framed at 8x10. Im not one that has to have the latest and greatest. It all comes down to personal preference.

I bought the p510 because I wanted to try a Nikon after having used older Canon SX ultra-zooms in the past and an sorry I did!! The p510 is slow and often has focusing problems. You may find you like another camera much better.

Bought my wife the Lumix and even though I am a Nikon shooter I thought the Lumix was far superior to the P510 and now owning it, I know we made the right choice...it's a great bridge camera!
