Is there anyone in the group who does astrophotography? I am interested on information about stacking images and using color filters for nebulae.

I got a 8" telescope and adapter for my Nikon D5100. Deep Sky Stacker is supposed to be very good but I haven't had the scope outside due to weather. It's an iOptron with GPS built in to follow targets.

Funny that you post this question today. I happened to pick up an older Shutterbug Special magazine I had not completed and saw that word "Astrophotographer" The artical is as follows:Adam Block: Astrophotographer By Lorraine A. DaeConte
You should find it in the: ShutterBug 2010/2011 "Expert Photo Techniques" edition. It is a great artical. I hopew you can find it. If not let me know.

Sarge, have you used that Ioptron mount yet? I got one this week and am waiting for some clear skies. Mine is the Cube Pro limited to 12 pounds. I have a Canon Rebel and a Sigma 150-500mm Telephoto, should work just fine. Doug
