That's an interesting series that runs on two or three of the History channels. They're always well done like this one.

I was surprised they didn't mention the fact that the inner viewing window cracked on the way down to the bottom of the trench. I think I would have pushed the 'up' button the instant I saw it crack. Talk about nerves of steel.

If you really want to go to the deepest place on the Earth, go to the floors of Congress. The BS is so DEEP there that it puts the Mariana's trench to shame.

I wonder about the same thing. With all that pressure, the first crack in the window would make me believe there is an indication of failure and not to be taken lightly.
