Right now in the Buy/Sell forum a member has an $800 Canon Pixma Pro for sale unopened in box that came with his camera, he is selling it for $250 plus shipping... It is a professional quality printer, like I said it came with his new camera, I know because I got the same deal and although I will eventually be selling mine I will not sell it so inexpensively, you might want to grab that printer before someone else does.

I've had very good luck with Canon Pixma printers. I've had at least two if not three now and am very satisfied with Canon products.

Watch craigslist. I just picked up an unopened Pixma Pro 100 with 50 sheets of 13x19 paper for $100.

People are getting these for free with rebates right now and dumping them.

There is a difference between the Pro 10 and the Pro 100, but you are correct, I will not even think about selling mine until sometime in February, even so, $250 for that printer is a deal that anyone interested in 13X19" printing should snatch up.

Check out Amazon for deals like this: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-PRO-100-Wireless-Professional-Semi-Gloss/dp/B00CB03U68/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1419699036&sr=8-3&keywords=canon+Pro+100

Typically these printers (which are normally brand new, and not gray market) have been sold as part of a bundle with a rebate. The dealer / purchaser claims the rebate and then sells the printer, everybody gets a deal. You can find similar things on ebay.

I have a Pixma Pro 9000 mk II that I got that way, and it is a great printer. It's a big beast, genuine Canon inks are not cheap, but the quality is very high.

Just don't think of it as a multi function printer for B+W paper text prints, you'll burn through ink. Get e separate laser printer for that.

Good luck, there are several available now at a good price.

Any Epson or Canon or the best. Then get a CISS system off ebay for it, its your ink. Most printers get you on the ink cost. I think B&H has printers with CISS.
Of all the printer I've had the Epson 1400 and 1100 with CISS were the best large format.
Epson has a deal now if you have Epson anything they will fix it for $100. a year. One or 100 for the $100. Call Epson and check it out.
I use 10 to 20 printers a year use Red River paper the best. You have to find out what is best for you. Good luck.
