Don't recall how I stumbled onto this site, but looks like some interesting topics and discussions.
Have to ask ... is this site primarily "canikon" oriented, or can an Olympus user jump in? Have only ever owned Oly equipment, since 1978.
Partial to landscapes, particularly "winterscapes" ... though want to learn more about baby photography now that I have my first grandchild to shoot :)
Canmore Alberta
Elbow Falls, just west of Calgary
Athabasca Falls, Jasper Alberta

Great shots....love the depth of the first one.
Beautiful photos!!!!!!!! Looks mighty cold!!!! Met some people from your neck of the woods while on vacation in Puerto Vallarta Mexico.

Thanks. First one was shot on a day with temp around -25 degrees Celsius ... others were only -10 to -15.

Thanks. One of my favourite spots.
Your shot of the falls is great.I tried it from the bridge, down river from it,all over. All I got was "I was there" shots.
Welcome to the forum gleneric, and yea, we have room for another Oly user or two :)
Like the third shot the best - the lower half almost has a surreal feel to it.

Thanks. The third one was my first ever attempt at doing a handheld, three-shot bracketted HDR ... processed using Photomatix Pro software.
I had not realized there were two falls, thought I was at the same as you. This was in summer of 2010.For interest, you might check out the ferry north of Kamloops,it is cable guided and powered by river current only, has been since early 1930's.Friendly operator, fruit stand hearby.

The two I posted were from different locations. Elbow Falls is only about 30 minutes west of Calgary, while Athabasca Falls is near Jasper ... a 3 or 4 houor drive west into the mountains. Have only been into the Kamloops area in the interior of British Columbia a few times, but have not been to the ferry you mention.

I went to the falls nearest to Jasper.
