Your factual and logical statements will no doubt be lost on the OP. Check his list of postings for a deeper view of a judgmental, bigoted person, who from all appearances doesn't know what it means to be hungry and who feels free to comment on the character of the poor in another country.

I know what its like to be hungry, I know what it is like to be on welfare, I know what it is like to go without. And I know that living off the government is not the answer.

What should be a short term solution for many turns into a full time career of living off the government. Yes, you can get that feel-good feeling inside for helping your fellow man get back on his feet so he can support himself and his family but when you keep giving and he keeps taking and not trying to better himself - that is when you do more harm then good.

I found out what it was like growing up and living off of welfare - I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

My, my, my....such wonderful thoughts at Christmas...and from "Christians," too....

If an angel gets its wings when a bell rings, does a demon get its horns/tail when an internet troll posts????

Over 46 million people on the government dole. Your answer: keep them dependent on the government so they will vote Democrat. Free Meals and Food Stamps is not the answer for 46 million people that has become a burden on the rest of society.

Question, do you approve of Government Farm Subsidies? You have farmers that don't plant a thing and get paid plenty of my tax money so that they spend the winter in Florida at my expense. I know Rush claims that people on food stamps by IPhones with them. Do you know that even Potatoes could not be bought with food stamps until a few weeks ago. I was standing in line at my small neighbor hood grocery store and the old with lady in front of me was paying with food stamps, the checker removed a box of cookies from her basket as they are not covered by food stamps. I as a 85 year old on fixed income told the clerk I will pay for it. Compassion is not in your party's platform only hate and greed and you guys claim to be Christians, phatic.

I believe farmers should be able to grow and sale what ever they want without being paid to not grow certain foods. If that is the case then I would like to get paid for not raising pigs in my back yard. I don't control what people can buy with food stamps - if an old lady wants cookie then she should be able to have those cookies but young men sating on their butts smoking pot while waiting for that government check is a different story.

Yes, there are people who need help - got that, but get this - there are those who are capable of taking care of themselves who live off the rest of us. Being a Christian has nothing to do with it and shame on any Christian who takes advantage of the government if they too are capable of taking care of themselves - that is the same as stealing.

I was born in the middle of the biggest depression ever, and farmers were burning corn for heat and dumping milk on the ground, because neither would fetch a price. And yet we found a way to exist with collective help of friends and neighbors. Expecting the government to provide was neither acceptable or available. Some went hungry but still would not take handouts. They worked for $1.00 a day of hard labor. Welfare was considered my most as being a beggar and untenable. I find little sympathy for those who game the system today, and please don't bother me with several million in the group, who when investigated, were found to have 2 cars, state of the art TV's in numbers, cell phones, computers, and are able bodied potential workers. Multiple children out of wedlock, begat by multiple absentee fathers, in a now 4th generation, who produce nothing but mayhem for the most part, are without a doubt the product of government WElFARE. Our president has eliminated the requirement to seek work in order to receive WELFARE. It makes some feel good to accept what's going on here. I am not one of them.

I didn't put these words into your mouth... They come from me, my mouth to you. As for providing facts... figure it out yourself - simple logic.

As I figured, you have no facts to back yup your emotions

'The Food Stamp Programme', administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing this year the greatest amount of free Meals and Food Stamps ever, to over 46 million people. Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us "Please Do Not Feed the Animals." Their stated reason for the policy is because; "The animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."
Thus ends today's lesson in

No, this is more like a lesson in not having the facts. Fact: Roughly half of all households receiving food stamps have children. Your answer: let the kids starve or get good high paying jobs. Fact: Roughly half of all housholds receiving food stamps have wage earners. Your answer: let the adults work six jobs, the lazy bums. Fact: Roughly one in ten households receiving food stamps are eldery households. Your answer: let the old folks starve or go back to work. Regarding the working age households without children who receive food stamps, please provide facts, not emotion and fuzzy feelings, on who they are before implying that they are lazy.

Philosophical garbage like your post only proves that you feel that you are just a part of "the elite". Bully for you that....."Hey, you're cool....no worries....just keep on truckin". Wrong. Facts are empirical. Experience, unless you can prove empirically that you are completely representative of everyone and free of bias, is entirely subjective. So, you you do need to provide facts unless you just want to express your feelings which are represetnative of very little. Again, please provide actual empirica; data that supports your feelings.

Isn't it inconvenient when someone provides actial empirical data to support a position instead of uninformed emotions and feelings.
