Great capture, Phil! Have never seen any members of the Nightjar family, but as a youngster growing up, I used to go to sleep listening to the Whip-poor-wills in the summer when we had the windows open. This March when we went to Florida we spent several nights in the Everglades, and the first morning before light, I stepped outside and heard a somewhat familiar sound made by a Chuck-will's-widow. Must have stood outside for 30 minutes listening. Also heard them the next three morning even after leaving the Glades, and in another campground.
Nice capture and well done Phil.
