He left out the most important one. You must shoot at right angle to the sum for maximum polarizer affect and don't use the older ones!

If you are going to remark on a particular post, you need to reference that post, or post in that thread. Otherwise its impossible for anyone to tell what you are talking about.

Right angle to the sum?
The sum of all fears?
The sum symbol on a keyboard?
The sum of us?
The sum of 9?

If your going to rant - and least take the time to get your sentence structure and spelling correct - and reference what the hell you are talking about.

Google what you have questions about and review all the links - there is a wealth of information available.

To be fully informed, research more than 1 source before attempting the unknown - and if it is a piece of equipment, read the instructions that come with it...

And don't complain about incomplete instructions when you haven't done your research.

Howdo, Ken and welcome aboard!
I see you just joined us yesterday and got off to a shaky start.
Don't despair or take personal insult. Just go to the top of the list here and click on the 'Help' link. Good info there on how to get the most from the group here.
One personal suggestion is to do a search on your intended subject to see where the list has been recently on your intended topic. ('Search' is also a link at the top of the list.)

Here is the original post that appeared in yesterday's digest that ken glanzer was referring to.

The four tips are basic knowledge that anyone in photography for any period of time would have known. The tip by ken was more useful than the others. In my humble opinion anyway.
And so what that he mistyped 'sum' instead of 'sun'. We all knew what he meant and we all have done it. I have seen a whole lot worse here on UHH (gross spelling and grammatical errors) that have gone unnoticed or unmentioned.

I understood what you meant. Problem with most photographers is that they are detail oriented, as well they should be.

Hi Ken! Welcome!
You screwed this one up, but don't worry. Everyone who criticized you, and even the ones who didn't, have had their share of mistakes. Well, except me, of course. I never make mistakes even though I am wrong on occasion!!

First off this was my first entry without my glasses. I missed the "m" instead of the "n" it should have been which is easy to do in small font(big deal). I had the words "right angles to the sum" in the original entry and see where right angles was left out for some reason in one comment? I started my comment out in the original statement and I thought my comment would assure it would appear in the right place. I'm still not clear how this system works and need help and not the other comments.

Ken, I agree with you. There are enough here who are willing to criticize to prove how wonderful they are.
