I don't know where I've been but I see that Calumet Photographic is back in business. When did this happen? Is it as good a source for cameras, etc. as say Adorama and B and H?

Calumet was on my top three list.
Yay!!!!!!
Their studio equipment is really good.
The low-profile softboxes are half the price of Plume wafers and better quality.

I almost forgot about Calumet, and also Wolf.

Reminds me when I forgot the Alamo!

Hmm - looks like they were bought by the same folks who bought Ritz Camera - I guess we'll see what they make of it. Certainly Calumet was a great resource.

Never bought anything from Calumet; But between B&H and Adorama, I very much prefer B&H; (they have the best return policy in the business, and IMO, Adorama has about the worst. )

I liked Calumet here in San Francisco. Like Samy's too, but Calumet had several really solid house-brand items at reasonable prices. I think they started in UK and it was only the US arm that went BK.

I bought equipment from Calumet years ago. Let's hope this will be as good. The competition would be good for us.

Wolf/Ritz went thru two bankruptcy proceedings.
The final result is or was Wolf/Ritz still managed to keep a printing lab located in the edge of Atlanta.
In the past few weeks I have seen Wolf advertising cameras again.
Here in Atlanta there is only one brick and mortar store that carries a large inventory of cameras, lenses, and camera supplies, Showcase Camera.
Going to most of the big box stores here, i.e. Best Buy, their inventory is pitiful this time of the year. Today I saw empty display samples, of course it's not unusual if the store manager does not see that displays are not updated.

I was deeply concerned to read this; everything we sell - including used gear - has a 30-day returns period. With the few exceptions here: http://www.adorama.com/help/returnPolicy where we have an agreement with the vendors that returned goods need to go back to them, directly.

It appears to be identical in content to: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/find/HelpCenter/ReturnExchange.jsp which has the same limited exceptions.

Can you please email me: Helen@adorama.com with the order number applicable to the item that was not taken back and I will resolve this immediately.
Please accept my sincere apologies, for what I can only think was a CS error.
