Just getting used and halfway understand LR3. Can anyone tell me what is involved in upgrading to LR4? (when it is available).
Need another disk and it overrides the old progam?
Just download from internet and it adds to the old?
How much relearning do you think will be needed for the new program?
Any other words of advice?

Thanks, UHH isa neat site.

Adobe typically sells an upgrade package. Because they will not work without already having the application installed, they cost less. You simply install it, as you would any other software package. Be sure to back up your images & catalogs, first, as with any kind of upgrade. Details would be found in the "read me" file that comes with the upgrade.

As far as differences, from LR3, I can't say. Some upgrades are not that different from the previous version, while others can change drastically. There may be more information on Adobe's web site.

You can download trial LR4. It loads new program and doesn't mess with your LR3 or Catalog. Many needed up grades with training available. It will look the same, feel the same, and comfort level stays with you. New terminology, added tools, tolls with more capabilities, and improved equations/ Logrth?......

I think you will like it.

Download at adobe. Search beta

LR4 has geo tag on a map, you just mark on map where your pic is from. I downloaded a beta version wasn't to impressed with it. You can download it for free and try it. just go Adobes' web site.
