I know lower would have been better, but I have a bum knee and didn't want to take the chance of not being able to get up. I still like #2 the best, I think Oops, somehow got them mixed up! Oh well. Would'nt be me if perfect. lol

Nice photos. By looking at the 1st photo, it looks like it was hot out when these were taken.

I don't think they're bad. And for some unknown reason, I like #3.

You ever seen the machine that will lift the rails up and then itÂ’s fingers will punch the rocks back in to place. How about a Rail Grinder?
I just see empties heading back to port. And a lot of CXR rail cars just sitting around. A while back a train that was a mile long came though. Every city in the are was upset about that. But the RR do own the properity.

Nice work.

Thanks, dietxanadu. Comments are always welcome. And no, haven't been train oriented. Family owned sailing ships.

I like all three pictures. I'm a train guy. If they were my pictures I would add some contrast to them, something I always wind up doing witih train pictures.

I think that #3 works the best for me...I'm not a train nut but your composition was very nice there...the horizon wasn't dead center and the train has a lot of frame to travel into...

Good one.

Great photos! Looks like the tracks could use some leveling. A little wavy. #2 is a great shot of a switch and siding. I like how the tracks disappear to the left. :)

I agree with rpavich. I guess that's why #3 got my attention.

Thank you, TrainNut! Coming from a 'train person' (ahem)
that makes me feel good.
