Good morning! Here is the sunrise this morning as seen from my balcony this morning. I took many, many pictures after messing around with my settings and picked this one to post. One thing I don't understand is I saw more brilliant red in the sunrise and in the picture there is more orange. Is it my settings? This is my first attempt at photographing a sunrise. I used my Sony a65 settings are 1/320 f/7.1 ISO 100 focal length 90 mm. Comments more than welcome! :)

That's nice to wake up to in the morning. Your lens speed might have been too fast.

What I should have wrote is...That scene is nice to wake up in the morning to look at! Don't mind me, i'm old. Any day above ground is a good day for me.

A nice place to visit any time of year. Last October, My family went there for a week. Cool clear nights (about 68 degrees) and warm sunny days (about the low 80"s)

Do you have either Photoshop or Gimp? If you do, open the photo up and bump the Saturation up to about 50%. I did it on my computer if you'd rather I post it. :)

All I can say is "Beautiful".

I like your edit, but, as you stated it had more "red". I seen it more this way. Let me know what you think. I hope you don't mind...

That was the red I saw but it was above the sun more. I am just not sure how come I couldn't capture the red. I changed my settings multiple times, lowering the shutter speed and playing with the ISO also. But your version is very beautiful too :)

I have photoshop 10 but haven't really learned much about it yet! I shouldn't use I don't have enough time as an excuse but that is the main reason why I haven't really learned how to use photoshop yet. But I will try what you suggested and I have no problem if you want to work with it, thanks!

We are in North Myrtle Beach. It was in the low 70's today but I think I should have gone further south on the beach to enjoy weather in the 80's. Oh well it still is absolutely beautiful and we all found lots of sharks teeth on our part of the beach today.

I hear you, every day you wake up is a blessing. I should know I have been an ER nurse for over 12 years and believe me you see it all and it teaches you to live life to the fullest! I think that is why I love to take pictures, it freezes all the beautiful and special moments in life so you can enjoy them forever!

North Myrtle beach. We used to go there back in the 80's in Augest...hot weather and big crowds when my Son was young. It was a nice change of pace to go there in October. 20 years ago, we used to go to "Baer Foot Landing" wich was the place to go 20 years ago for shopping. We went there in October and it was pertty run down, Everybody goes to "Brodway on the Beach" a new mall a few miles down the road.
