Very poignant. Love it. I that stadium off Roosevelt Blvd? The church and steeple look familiar. Lived up in the Great Northeast for a short period of time while in school.

Thank you, frjack.

Actually, not too far from Roosevelt Blvd. It's at the baseball field at Northeast High School, which is on Cottman Ave. I graduated from that very school long ago.

That is where I thought. Don't spend much time in Philly but lived there for seven years in two different time blocks. Super photo.

I'm glad you like the photo.

For this particular image, I searched for a perspective that would give the viewer a sense of 3-dimensional space, with an almost tangible quality to it.

The starkness of the stripped trees takes the photo to a different plane. Were you to reshoot it in the fullness of summer the impact would be different. I may pop this one on my screen some evening, turn off the lights, open a beer and let my thoughts drift.

Thank you for the compliment, sailorsmom. The actual school or location isn't particularly important. For many, the bleachers served as a place for socializing during the school years, and have a strong connection to memories of youth.
