Where to post? I don't frequent the Long Exposure section, and found myself choosing between the Post-Processing section and here for my post. Since this section has become my recent favorite, I decided to share here.
The spouse kindly asked me to practice photography with her again. I decided to try to make her a digital Christmas card image. So, the portrait was with the 60" umbrella w/speed light and daylight CFLs (I modified the CFL umbrella bracket to accept a speed light to boost output). Used the 85mm, @F5, iso200, 1/200sec.
The background was a shot of the Christmas tree with the 24-70 @ 70mm, iso200, 20seconds, and F20 (to get the starburst from the lights). Final composite of the two images was done with PS CC, adding text and using bevel and emboss layer effects.
C&C always welcome.

Thank you, dirtpusher. Yes, she is lovely, and currently my favorite grandmother (but not "my" grandmother). This will be our 37th Christmas shared. I hope we get to share several more.
