Any recommendations for websites that display "galleries" of photos for friends and family to view?

Not for selling photos, just for others to view.

Thanks!

Hi!
I've had good service from Shutterfly at www.shutterfly.com
It's a free service that allows you to set up your own galleries and provide access to your family and friends for viewing, downloading, and buying prints.

I was using Smug Mug but now that Lightroom 5.7 allows you to share a Collection, I've been using that and people I have shared with like it better. When they click on the link that I email them, they get a page with big, bright thumbnails that are clickable to full screen views.

I have used pbase.com for years, it cost less then $30 a year and gives you more space then you can use. It is a private web site and you give the address out to who you wish.

I have Lightroom 5.7 but was not aware of this capability. Tell me more, how is it done? Thanks, Bob

I have been using www.pbase.com since Feb. 2008
I am very happy with the site, however it is not private but you can lock any and all galleries and provide a password to those you wish.

I downloaded Creative Cloud from the Google Play Store since Lightroom Mobile was not offered (from the Adobe website I get the impression that Mobile is an Apple ONLY product). Anyway, I was able to sign in to Creative Cloud with my Adobe ID and password. Is that enough to be able to take advantage of the slideshow feature or does it require a Lightroom and PS download and the $9.95/month contract? Thanks, Bob

You can upload to Walmart and share pictures by email the same as Shutterfly. I sometimes use Walmart because my family (who lives 100 miles away) likes to print some of the pictures and they can print them and run and get them at the store down the street in 1 hour.

Yes, mobile is currently just available for Apple products. My understanding is that if you have Lightroom and have updated your software to 5.7, you have enough to share your photos. You don't need PS or CC. I do it all within Lightroom.

I currently use Dropbox Pro so it's not as if I'm "homeless" right now, I just thought this might be a better presentation. Plus, I'm exporting from Lightroom anyway (to Dropbox). I've heard that Shutterfly is also excellent so I guess we are both already covered. Thanks, Bob

??? My reference to using Walmart was intended for the OP.

Snapfish also offers free sharing and anyone that you send pictures to can select the ones they want to print and have them printed and ready for pick up at Walgreens within 1 hour. BTW, Snapfish does a beautiful job of printing at a very reasonable price. I've been using Snapfish for years with excellent results.
