A snowy owl was spotted in downtown Muncie, Indiana yesterday. That is pretty rare. I hope to go there today and maybe get some pictures of it if it is still around.

What's the temps in the Midwest right now?
We woke up to some frost this morning but it will be 60 this afternoon and through the weekend.
Might even take the motorcycle out. :)

It is weird here. Last year, we got a foot of snow on Christmas eve, a few years before that, it was 85 on Christmas day. Go figure.

I did not get a good picture of the Snowy Owl because of the washout and the only lens I brought with me was a 105. The picture I attached was from the Muncie Star/Press paper and they have more pictures and better ones. If I would have known I was going to see a Snowy Owl in Muncie Indiana I would have brought my long lens. I spent 2 hours yesterday watching it and she or he was amazing, but not one good picture. So sorry.

Gee we have a lot of sightings here in Cleveland,Ohio.By the Hopkins airport & along the lake front.I am going out tomorrow to see if I can capture one.Good luck to you!

for the past two years the Snowy Owls have invaded Wisconsin.
I do not remember the exact number, from last year, but so far this year about 160 have been spotted. We have a good source of food for them.
