Will the fraud scandal at Olympus affect their camera division? If it does, or if people start bailing on Olympus because of the scandal, will that drive up the price of cameras from other manufacturers by making their cameras more scarce?

i think you are going to see another company buy the photography division of olympus. If it was here in the US some oly executives would be going to club fed for a 5-10 yr stint. i don't rember if its 1.4 or 1.8 BILLON dollars in losses they hid from investors. I would love to see some rich american investor ( bill gates) buy oly and move production here to the US
I read the papers every day and didn't hear about it, Olympus hid losses from investors? If anyone has a link about that, I'd like to read it. Right, I would love to see a American investor buy it.

On the contrary. Olympus takes a hit like that and continues to release new and impressive cameras! There Surer High Grade lenses continue to arrive from Japan and their repair facility is operating normally and they return equipment sent in very fast. So far it looks like they are weathering it just fine. There are people being investigated and others that have been fired or resigned in disgrace. The Japanese simply do their dirty laundry more quietly than we do but its being handled all the same. Overall I think it shows how strong the company truly was.

Question: I was told there's a bar/restaurant in Brookline that hosts a regular weekend art show. Do you happen to know anything about it?
Thanks

My son's been living in Brookline for the last 6 years since I moved out. I just called him, he said he doesn't know of any bars or restaurant's that have art show's. There is an art gallery on Brookline Blvd. That might be the place.

I grew up in Emsworth and lived in McCandless until I moved to Philly.

Yea, I know both places, that's more Northeast from where I live. Your liking Philly? Your avatar says Spring Hill, Florida.

I retired to Spring Hill about a year and a half ago after 28 years in Philly. Philly isn't bad, lots of history and great architecture, and close to NYC and DC. Pittsburgh is better though. My nieces husband is musical director at Mt. Lebanon elementary.

Thanks CJ!
By any chance, does he know the name? I'll check yellowbook.com in the meantime.
Our director of sales lives in Spring Hill, retiring at the end of this month.
