vivitar lens f 3.5 1- 135mm, 42 mm thread for Pentax

Hi anyone had experience with this lens , it is in mint condition and I have not had a chance to try it . Any info much appreciated ! Terry Smith

Not sure which lens you are talking about. There is no such thing as a 1-135mm zoom. Are you talking about the F3.5 135mm prime?

I have the Vivitar F2.8 135mm prime with m42 threads and it is actually a decent older lens. The focusing is real smooth and it can take decent pictures. But I only use it as a fun lens when I am in the mood for playing with manual shooting.

That's quite a good lens, comparable to the 135mm f/3.5 Nikkor, and actually better than the first 135mm f/2.8 Nikkor, especially at the maximum aperture.

Probably refers to the Series-1 lens. Awesome lens back in the day.

The Vivitar Series I 135mm lens was f/2.3, not f/3.5.

thank you for that I was Just thinking of putting in on the old Pentaxand giving it a whirl thanx again !

i am using at time a vivitar serie one 28 / 105 zoom f 2.8 / 3.5 pentax M mount on a nikon d 300 in manual mode with a adaptor from fotodiox .gives nice close up shots .

I have a 135mm f2.8 and used it many years as a portrait lens. With the cropped sensor on my Pentax K-5 it works great for the tight portrait shots.
